Key Specifications & Features
Compatibility: Works with DSC PowerSeries panels including PC1616, PC1832, PC1864, PC5010, PC5015, and PC5020. (Note: Not compatible with DSC PowerSeries Neo systems, which require the HSM2108 expander).
Zone Expansion: Adds 8 additional hardwired input zones (supports single end-of-line [5600-ohm resistors] or no end-of-line loops).
Power Supply: Connects via Combus wiring.
Auxiliary Power: Provides 12VDC AUX output (typically rated up to 125mA max, PTC protected depending on version).
Current Draw: Draws approximately 35mA from the Combus.
Tamper Switch: Features a built-in board tamper switch (top-left corner) that must be wired or bridged properly to prevent trouble faults.
Enclosure Options: Can be mounted inside the main alarm metal cabinet (e.g., Power UC1, PC5003C) or a dedicated separate enclosure (PC4003C).
